Laurel Ridge Community College offers a wide range of high-quality services to support our mission and the technological needs of its students, faculty, and staff. Services range from office equipment installation to college software deployment and support for account multifactor authentication (MFA). We also provide services to help individuals maximize the use of educational resources like Canvas and Google Drive to develop effective strategies for learning and teaching.

Student Technology Support

  • Troubleshooting or installing some college-provided applications (Respondus LockDown Browser, Microsoft Office 365, Examplify, Zoom)
  • Support for Canvas and Google Drive
  • VCCS account password resets
  • Troubleshooting issues with Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
  • Assistance with installing certain college-provided apps (Lockdown Browser, Examplify, Office 365)
  • Assistance with creating a reservation for the Virtual Computing Library (VCL)

Faculty and Staff Technology Support

  • Personalized training, instructional design support, and Canvas support
  • In-class observations and instructional feedback
  • Providing workshops to enhance teaching and workplace efficiency
  • Deployment and support of college software resources and basic technical support for third-party software
  • Installation and troubleshooting of classroom and office equipment
  • Troubleshooting network infrastructure and connectivity
  • Technology support for special events
